Friday exchange: The heart library project and Heartsong
Our final late night Friday of the year is dedicated to matters of the heart. Take time to view George Poonkhin Khut's the Heart library project – one of the RiAus’ inaugural art installations – in which audiences interact with a ceiling mounted video reflection of themselves and learn to influence the appearance of the projected image by invoking stressful/exciting or peaceful/relaxing nervous states to influence their heart rate patterning. We will also have an encore performance of Heartsong, after which we’ll bring together the artists, writers, composers and film artists involved in both projects to discuss whatever their hearts desire.
